Stephanie Mustard, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Meet Stephanie Mustard, a doctor of physical therapy that loves the collaborative approach to patient uniquely offered at seattle women’s and moms’ clinic.

Stephanie graduated with honors from Pacific University where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Her interest in physical therapy stemmed from her love of ballet (she ended up minoring in Dance in college) and her desire to help improve people’s lives.

Stephanie has worked in various outpatient physical therapy clinics throughout her career, including clinics in Oregon and Washington. She has had the opportunity to work with many different patients facing both acute injuries as well as chronic pain.

She has a special interest in treating hips, knees, ankles, and feet, but enjoys treating the whole body including the neck, thoracic spine/ribcage, lower back, and shoulders.

Stephanie has had specialized training and experience in external pelvic floor physical therapy relating to pregnancy, urinary incontinence, and pelvic injuries.

She loves finding the connecting points of dysfunction and she treats the body as a whole entity, not just an independent body part. For example, a person may have neck pain, but it may be due to dysfunction around the shoulder girdle, which may also be impacted from a shift in the ribcage or a rotation in the pelvis!

Stephanie uses both movement education and manual therapy to help provide comprehensive treatment for her patients and works with patients to reach their specific goals.

She understands that each person is different and unique and treats the individual rather than symptom.

She cares very much for the well-being of her patients and wants them to have the best experience possible, where they truly feel heard and cared for.

Stephanie is an Oregon native but has settled in to Seattle and enjoys doing home updates with her husband. They recently had an adorable baby girl and Stephanie looks forward to relating to the patients she treats for the physical challenges that come secondary to motherhood (and fatherhood)… like lugging car seats around, wrist and shoulder injuries from breast and bottle feeding, and more.

She is excited to be apart of the Seattle Women’s and Moms’ Clinic team where she can provide the best possible care to its wonderful clientele!
